In our modern day living, most of us struggle with processing our emotions properly. We carry around a whole array of feelings we never dealt with. Some of us may have taken the traditional route and sought out psychotherapy, only to hit a ceiling in our process. Or perhaps sought out a healer or coach but never got anywhere. As all of these are beautiful modalities, they don't always solve the problem of how our body stores unresolved beliefs, feelings and traumas.
The thing is, many of us were never taught how to feel and never had anyone to truly hold a loving space for us. By-in-large we are taught from a very early age that emotions are nuances. We are conditioned to 'go to our rooms', 'keep it to ourselves', or eat, drink and sleep away our feelings. The challenge in this is we never come to know emotional regulation - that is to say, how to manage our emotional wellbeing in a healthy manner with love and presence.
That's where I come in, and, I am here for you.
I know what it's like to struggle with feelings. I know what it's like to not feel okay and be stuck or shut down as a result of that. It's not a way to live and there is another way. A way that nurtures a feeling of being at ease with oneself. A way that brings light to the darkness. A way that brings comfort and coherence to the chaos.
It's called Rebirthing Breathwork Therapy.
Think about it: when things get backed up, it's like we can never get ahead; and this is certainly true for our mental and emotional states. Life brings more and more to us but we are still hung up from the past. Perhaps our boss or our spouse says something that triggers hurt - are we really upset about the momentary hurt? Generally, no. It's layered, and when we really peer into how layered it is, we find unprocessed emotion and thoughts that span all the way back to our childhood. Because, again, as a society we aren't particularly skilled at teaching how to deal with emotions, manage or process them. So, we have a lot of adults walking around feeling lonely, isolated and 'wrong' when our natural feelings arise.
Here's the deal: WE NEED SPACE TO FEEL. We need space to explore our hidden thoughts and feelings. [When we feel, we heal.] And that is where BREATHWORK comes in. It's is an INCREDIBLE tool for metabolizing our life's experiences.
Breathwork is a therapeutic process of bringing conscious attention to the breath and causing a specific pattern of inhales and exhales. This pattern is called "Circular Breathing" and is designed to engage the body, mind and spirit of an individual. This circular breathing pattern can induce deep emotional releases and help to clear energetic patterns. Please know all kinds of things can occur in a session according to your current mental, emotional state or any repressed feelings. This can look like body contortions, uncontrollable laughter, cries or tetany. All of this is perfectly natural and part of the process. Many client leave a session feeling deeply refreshed and at peace.
Breathwork is best paired with Spiritual Guidance Counseling with me between sessions so you can get the most out of your experience.
I am trained as a Rebirthing Breathwork Practitioner. Rebirthing Breathwork therapy, as taught by Rebirthing Breathwork International and the teachings of Leonard Orr, aids in purifying your energetic body, releasing stagnant emotion and trauma. Sessions can be held over zoom or in person at my office in Dallas, TX between 75 & 635.
PREPARATION:
Please prepare yourself ahead of time in a similar manner as before entering a yoga class.
-> Come well hydrated with purified drinking water.
-> Bring a notebook with you in case you want to take notes during or after the session.
-> Last meal at least 1 hour before, better if it's been 2 hours
-> Set a clear intention to guide you. We will discuss this before your session.
This kind of work is best done over time by doing 10 sessions.
