You would do anything for your child.
And still, there are moments you feel it: the sharpness in your voice over a report card, the quiet relief when they behave in public, the flash of worry when another kid seems "ahead", the way you slump down on the bleachers when they mess up the play.
Those moments don't make you a bad parent. They make you a human one.
And the reality is...our children pick up on our energy and the conditions we are subtly communicating. The message they receive is some version of: I'm loved most when I perform, achieve, or am "well" behaved.
And maybe you've never stopped to ask:

And maybe you've never stopped to ask:
Where did I learn that this is what makes someone valuable?
Most of us don't decide to parent with conditions. We inherit them. From our families, our schools, our culture of achievement, and the old stories about what a "good" kid looks like.
At the root of our conditions is most likely some version of the following thought: "If my child is struggling, failing, making bad choices, or not becoming who I imagined, what does that say about me?"
And are you the parent of a neurodiverse child? Oh yah, this can be even more amplified for you as your child does not fit the "norm". Ask me how I know. 😉
So what do we do about it?
Unconditional is a 6-week coaching program for parents who are ready to notice and shift the invisible conditions that shape how they love, guide, praise, correct, worry about, and relate to their child(ren).
We're going to slow down.
Get curious.
Get still.
Get curious.
Get still.
And examine your beliefs and expectations you put on YOURSELF and your child.
That's right my friend. The same conditions we put on our kids, we put on ourselves. It starts with you.
That's right my friend. The same conditions we put on our kids, we put on ourselves. It starts with you.
So here's the truer question at the center of our work together:
Can I become solid enough in my OWN worth that I don't need my child to behave, achieve, or become a certain kind of person in order for me to feel like a successful parent?
Can I become solid enough in my OWN worth that I don't need my child to behave, achieve, or become a certain kind of person in order for me to feel like a successful parent?
While we will dive into specific situations that come up with your kid(s), we will also, most definitely, dive into the situations where conditions were put on YOU by others and yourself.
Over six weeks, you'll develop the self-solidarity to separate your child's worth from their behavior, achievements, and choices.
The result isn't perfect parenting. It's a different kind of freedom: you get to be a parent who can hold boundaries, experience disappointment, and have expectations without making your child responsible for your sense of worth or success.
We'll work together to:
- Notice the moments your love gets tangled up with outcomes, behavior, or image
- Trace where those rules came from, with compassion for yourself
- Understand what your child may be receiving underneath your words
- Practice new responses in the moments that actually test you
- Repair when you miss, because you will, and that's where trust grows
- Build a plan so the changes last when life gets busy
THIS IS NOT:
- A behavior-management system
- About blame, guilt, or being a "perfect" parent
- Lowering your standards or hopes for your child, but about making sure your child never has to earn your love
How doess it work?

What Did I Learn?
We'll look at what you learned growing up about approval, achievement, disappointment, belonging, being "good," and what it meant to make the people around you proud.
We'll start identifying the beliefs about worth and love that you may have carried into your own parenting.
When My Child's Behavior Feels Personal
What happens inside you when your child's behavior triggers anger, embarrassment, fear, disappointment, or a sense of failure?
What happens inside you when your child's behavior triggers anger, embarrassment, fear, disappointment, or a sense of failure?
We'll slow down those moments and get curious about what's underneath them.
Because sometimes our child's behavior is simply behavior.
And sometimes it touches something much deeper in us.
Achievement, Potential & Pride
Grades. Sports. Success. Talent. Productivity. Appearance. "Potential."
We'll explore the ways these things can become tangled up with worth—and how our desire for our children to succeed can sometimes communicate something we never intended.
This isn't about stopping yourself from being proud of your child.
It's about making sure achievement isn't the price of admission for your pride, approval, or connection.
The Child I Imagined vs. The Child I Have
The Child I Imagined vs. The Child I Have
Every parent has an imagined child.
And then there's the actual human being standing in front of us.
We'll explore the expectations, hopes, fears, and assumptions we may be holding about who our child will become—and what happens when the real child doesn't match the picture in our head.
Because our children aren't here to fulfill the stories we wrote for them before we knew who they were.
Love Without Losing Boundaries
Unconditional love does not mean unconditional access, permissiveness, or letting your child do whatever they want.
You can have boundaries.
You can have expectations.
You can say no.
You can be angry.
You can require accountability.
And your child can still know:
"None of this changes my worth."
We'll explore how to hold boundaries without making love, belonging, or worth feel conditional.
Loving Without Requiring
We'll bring everything together and create your own personal practice for noticing conditionality, interrupting old patterns, and repairing when you've missed the mark.
Because this isn't about becoming a perfect parent.
It's about becoming a more aware one.
Your relationship with your child will become so much more connected when you become a parent who can notice:
"I'm making this about me."
"I'm asking my child to prove something."
"I'm putting my worth in their hands."
And then choose something different.
Because the goal isn't to never get it wrong.
The goal is to become solid enough in yourself that your child doesn't have to be responsible for proving that you are a successful parent by how much they achieve.
They get to be a whole human.
And so do you.
