Here's what you get as an art student and mentee:
- 1-on-1 access to me via a private 45-minute video call where we discuss your art questions and goals.
- Art instruction and planning tailored for where you currently are on your journey.
- Each month you'll be invited to email your WIP drawing for a critique (you can submit up to 2 per month). I will record my suggestions inside a software app (either paint.net, procreate, or sketchbook).
- You'll have access to the recording of each mentoring session (plus recordings of each critique).
I'll provide a video markup on your WIP or completed works with Paint.net, Procreate app, or Sketchbook app. The recording will be sent to you. If you wish to provide your artwork for discussion during our mentoring calls it must be submitted to me no later than 48 hours prior.
Art Mentoring is a perfect option if you're wanting help in any of the following:
- Learning to create a 3-dimensional look in your drawings through edges and value structure.
- Finding and defining your own unique style and voice.
- Understanding the relationship between color and value, and how to shift color in a warm and cool direction.
- Understanding the use of perspective in your drawings.
- Guidance on materials and supplies for your work.
- Leveling up in fundamental portrait drawing skills.
- Honest (not sugar-coated), real feedback on your work with practical instructions on how to improve.
- Accountability from a mentor.
- Determining art shows to enter and organizations to belong to.
- Building your art resume.
