Career Reset coaching helps you pause, reflect, and realign your career with who you’ve become — and who you’re ready to be next.

Career disruption can take many forms — a layoff, burnout, illness, caregiving responsibilities, relocation, or simply reaching a point where your work no longer fits who you are.

When that happens, it’s normal to feel uncertain, stuck, or disconnected from your next step.

Career Reset coaching helps you make sense of where you are now, rebuild clarity, and move forward with grounded confidence in your career direction.

This is for professionals who are:
  • Navigating job loss, layoff, or an unexpected career change
  • Recovering from burnout, illness, or Long COVID
  • Returning to work after time away (parental leave, caregiving, or health-related leave)
  • Feeling stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from their current role
  • Considering a career pivot or re-entry into the workforce
  • Wanting to rebuild confidence after a period of disruption

Through this work, you will:
  • Gain clarity on where you are now and what’s no longer working
  • Rebuild confidence after a period of career disruption
  • Understand your strengths, values, and direction in a new context
  • Make sense of your career story in a way that feels grounded and clear
  • Develop practical next steps for job search, transition, or reinvention
  • Move forward with more confidence and less uncertainty

How it works:
  • We begin by mapping where you are now — not where you “should” be
  • Through guided reflection and structured coaching conversations, we clarify your direction and identify what is realistically possible and aligned for you
  • This includes reflective exercises, assessments, discussion, and practical strategies to support both clarity and action
  • You will leave with a clearer understanding of your direction and a plan to move forward

This pathway blends reflection with practical career strategy. You will explore:
  • Your career story and how to communicate it clearly
  • Your strengths, interests, and work patterns
  • Your values and what matters most in this next chapter
  • Realistic career directions based on your current reality
  • Practical next steps for job search or transition

The Career Reset might be a fit for you if:
  • You are navigating a career transition or unexpected change
  • You are ready to rebuild your career or reinvent yourself
  • You want to feel more confident explaining your career story
  • You are willing to reflect honestly and engage in the process
  • You are ready to take practical steps toward your next chapter

Note: This is a flexible program within a proven framework. You will work through this journey at your own pace.

How to Get Started
You begin with a single Career Reset session.
From there, you can continue with additional sessions as you need them.
There are no packages or long-term commitments – just structured support as your situation unfolds.

Important to Know
This is a reflective and strategic process, not a quick fix.
Some clients gain clarity sooner. Others work through a series of sessions as they navigate change over time. We move at your pace.

Psychometric assessments are purchased separately.

- Leta

It was beyond what I expected to gain out of our sessions. I really appreciate how you personalize your sessions and do not just use a generic process on how you go about your coaching like the majority of coaches do. You are amazing!

- Megan

Lisa went above and beyond to help me get to the core of my career goals, and to help me find my inner truth about what I really wanted. Lisa is an inspiring, intuitive and results-oriented coach! I met Lisa when I attended the first of two of her very impactful Vision Board workshops. More recently, I reached out to Lisa for some life coaching, knowing she would inspire new ideas as I made the transition from full-time employment to retirement. Lisa has a calm, bright and professional style that fosters trust right away. She has a unique ability to apply her professional skills, tools and her own high emotional intelligence to help others on their path of personal and professional discovery.

Thanks to Lisa, I have been able to visualize and realize my dreams! I am grateful for her advice and inspiration and highly recommend Lisa to anyone who is looking to get the most out of life. Thank you, Lisa!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of coaching?
Coaching is different. These are the benefits:
*Focus on you and your agenda
*An objective, fresh perspective
*Direct, honest communication
*Advice IF you ask for it; otherwise, not unsolicited
*A safe, confidential, non-judgmental ear
*Focus on the future (not the past which is over!)
*A cheerleader and an accountability partner
*Someone standing with you and for you and your dreams (which many of my clients say they’ve never actually had before)
What would we talk about during our coaching meetings?
Sessions are guided by what feels most relevant for you at the time. This may include your current work situation, decision points, challenges, ideas for what comes next, or reflections on your career direction.
The focus is on helping you think clearly, gain perspective, and identify practical next steps.

In Focus Sessions, we target a particular challenge in a 30-minute appointment. Reset appointments are longer and follow a roadmap.

How many appointments do I need?
It depends on your situation.
Some people book a single session for clarity on a specific issue. Others choose ongoing sessions over time as they navigate career change, uncertainty, or reinvention.
The Career Reset Pathway has a flexible format within a proven framework. It may be 3 meetings or 6 or 8 – it depends on a number of factors.
We can adjust as you go based on what feels helpful for you.
Can you find me a job?
Some of my prospective career coaching clients ask me if I will find them a job. What I will do is help you identify your target job, work with you to create a strategy and tactical plan for your job search, help you revamp your marketing materials such as resume and online presence, and teach you how to build skills like networking and interviewing and shift your mindset so that you can convey your value confidently to potential employers. This is the ultimate plan for long-term success!
Do you guarantee success?
My clients are motivated and committed to acting on their personal and professional goals. Anything less than their intentional full participation will not lead to success. My role is to guide clients through the coaching process and share best practices; their role is to do the work. The client does the work and gets the results. Find out what others have said in my testimonials.
Are you certified?
Many coaches have professional certifications from coaching schools. Some coaches, like me, are credentialed by the International Coach Federation (ICF). The ICF is the premier organization for professional coaches and has established a Code of Ethics and Core Coaching Competencies and rigorous processes to ensure excellence in service to clients.

Besides having an ACC ICF certification, I received my training at the Institute for Life Coach Training and received my certification as a Career Development Coaching Specialist. I am also a certified MBTI® (Myers-Briggs Type I and II) and Strong Interest Inventory® practitioner, and I am qualified to utilize the Awaken Your Heart Magnet and From Stressed to Best programs. Additionally, I am a Life Purpose certified coach. Before entering the field of coaching, I was a Certified Human Resources Leader with the HRPA for almost 20 years.

Is there any pre-work?
Prior to our first meeting, I will send you a questionnaire to gather background information including information about your goals, actions taken to date, and strengths. I will also ask you for your resume for further background. If jointly decided, you may complete either free or paid assessments to give us both information about you and your strengths (assessments are billed separately).
What are your hours?
I primarily work regular business hours; however, I can schedule the occasional appointment after hours or on weekends. Inquire with me directly.
Do you coach in person?
I coach virtually, that is, I coach people over videoconference or phone. My clients tell me it’s equally effective – if not more so. Lower fees, no distractions, no commuting -- just focused listening, and powerful speaking!
How are payments made?
Payments are made upfront upon booking the coaching appointment. You can pay with credit card using my online system or via electronic transfer (Canadian clients only).

Why should I hire you?

Clients come to me when they’re ready for change but unsure where to start. Through our work together, they develop a clearer sense of their strengths, values, and opportunities. Many leave with renewed confidence, a strategic plan, and the motivation to take action—whether that means landing a new role, shifting career paths, or stepping into leadership with greater impact.

My clients appreciate my ability to challenge their thinking while providing support and practical tools.
