This is a short exploratory conversation to understand your situation, what’s prompting you to reach out, and what type of support may be most helpful.
It’s an opportunity to:
- share a brief overview of what currently feels challenging, overwhelming or unsustainable
- clarify what you’re hoping to change, improve or better understand
- explore whether working together would feel useful and appropriate
The conversation is focused on fit, clarity and next steps rather than detailed coaching, advice or problem-solving.
If appropriate, we may discuss whether a more structured ADHD Strategy & Planning Session or ongoing coaching support would be a helpful next step.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of the Initial Consultation?
The Initial Consultation is a short exploratory conversation to understand your situation and what’s prompting you to reach out.
Its purpose is to:
- clarify what currently feels challenging, overwhelming or unsustainable
- explore whether working together would feel useful and appropriate
- identify what type of support or next step may be most helpful
This may include an ADHD Strategy & Planning Session or ongoing coaching support where appropriate.
The conversation is focused on fit, clarity and direction rather than immediate problem-solving.
Is this a coaching session?
No.
The Initial Consultation is an exploratory conversation designed to understand your situation, what support you may be looking for, and whether my approach feels like the right fit.
While the conversation may bring some clarity and insight, it is not a full coaching or advisory session and we do not move into detailed strategy, planning or ongoing support work at this stage.
If ongoing support feels appropriate, that would take place within a paid ADHD Strategy & Planning Session or ongoing coaching engagement.
Who is this consultation for?
This consultation is suitable for:
- adults or professionals exploring support around ADHD, overwhelm, burnout, confidence or sustainable functioning
- parents or caregivers seeking clarity around support options for themselves or their family
- leaders or organisations considering coaching or advisory support
- individuals who are unsure what type of support may be most appropriate for their situation
The consultation is designed as an exploratory conversation rather than an immediate problem-solving or advice session.
What happens after the Initial Consultation?
At the end of the conversation, we’ll discuss what type of support, if any, feels most appropriate for your situation.
This may include:
- an ADHD Strategy & Planning Session
- shorter-term focused coaching support
- longer-term coaching and support
- or, where appropriate, exploring alternative forms of support better suited to your needs
There is no obligation to proceed.
Can I book ongoing coaching directly?
Ongoing coaching usually begins after an Initial Consultation or ADHD Strategy & Planning Session, so we have a clear shared understanding of what support is needed and whether the approach feels like the right fit.
This helps ensure any ongoing work is purposeful, realistic and well-matched, rather than rushed or assumed.
Is this suitable for personal or therapeutic support?
My work focuses on ADHD coaching, sustainable performance, wellbeing and practical support within professional, workplace and everyday life contexts.
Coaching can be helpful for individuals experiencing overwhelm, burnout, low confidence, difficulty with direction, organisation or managing the impact of ADHD in daily life.
However, coaching is not therapy or clinical treatment. If you are seeking therapeutic, psychiatric or crisis support, it may be more appropriate to explore specialist clinical services alongside or instead of coaching.
