A Place We Come Back To
A guided mindfulness collection for grounding, emotional regulation, and gentle self-connection
Who this is for
This collection was created for people who want a simple, supportive way to pause and reconnect with themselves in the middle of real life. It is especially helpful for individuals navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, relationship stress, identity exploration, or big life transitions. Many of my clients are queer, polyamorous, or part of chosen-family networks and spend a lot of time navigating spaces where they must explain themselves or stay emotionally “on.” These recordings are designed to offer a different kind of space—one that feels steady, affirming, and safe to return to whenever you need a moment to breathe and reset.
You do not need meditation experience, a quiet mind, or perfect focus to use these recordings. They are meant for real humans with busy thoughts, complicated feelings, and full lives.
When to use these recordings
You can use this playlist anytime you need a small pause during your day. Many people find them helpful:
- In the morning when starting the day feels heavy or overwhelming
- After a stressful conversation or workday when your body is still carrying tension
- When thoughts are looping and your mind won’t settle
- During emotional waves when feelings feel bigger than you expected
- At night when anxiety or rumination makes it difficult to sleep
- Anytime you need grounding or want to reconnect with your body and breath
Some recordings are calming, some are grounding, and some help process emotions. You can choose the one that fits your current state rather than following them in order.
How to use the playlist
- Choose the track that matches how you feel right now.
For example, you might choose a grounding exercise if you feel overwhelmed or a quieter recording if you’re trying to wind down for sleep. - Find a comfortable position.
You can sit, lie down, stretch, or even walk slowly while listening. There is no “correct posture.” - Press play and listen without trying to do it perfectly.
Your mind may wander. Thoughts may come and go. That’s completely normal and part of the practice. - Let your body respond naturally.
Sometimes you may feel calmer afterward. Other times you may simply feel a little more present. Both are meaningful outcomes. - Return whenever you need to.
These recordings are meant to be used again and again—like revisiting a familiar room where you can pause and set things down.
What this practice is about
This playlist is not about escaping your life or achieving perfect calm. It’s about creating small moments where your nervous system can slow down, your mind can loosen its grip on stress, and you can reconnect with yourself.
Think of it as a portable version of the steady space we build together in coaching or therapy: a place where you can breathe, notice what you’re carrying, and remember you don’t have to hold everything alone.
Whenever you need that pause, press play.
You’re simply coming back to yourself.
