Most people who struggle with chronic insomnia aren’t lacking sleep tips.

By the time they seek coaching, they’ve usually tried sleep hygiene, supplements, strict routines, meditation, podcasts, books, tracking devices, and countless internet searches.

The problem is that more effort doesn’t always create better sleep.

In many cases, the struggle itself becomes part of what keeps insomnia alive.

The Insomnia Recovery Program is an eight-week personalized coaching program designed to help you understand the patterns that may be maintaining your insomnia and develop a different relationship with sleep and wakefulness.

You’ll receive eight private coaching sessions, email support between sessions, and a video curriculum that unfolds throughout our eight weeks together. The four foundational lessons are available at the beginning of the program, followed by additional lessons delivered throughout our time together. This gives you time to understand the material, apply it to your own life, and bring your questions and experiences into our coaching sessions.

The first four lessons cover the same foundational material available in my free Insomnia Recovery Starter Course. If you’ve already completed the Starter Course, you’ll be familiar with these concepts. The paid program builds on that foundation through individualized coaching, ongoing support, and additional lessons that help you apply these ideas to your own situation.

The curriculum covers:

• The role of perceived threat and hyperarousal
 • The paradox of trying too hard to sleep
 • Befriending wakefulness
 • Letting go of clock-watching and time calculations
 • Responding differently to racing thoughts at night
 • Meeting the day after a difficult night
 • Recognizing progress without measuring sleep
 • Understanding the deeper fears connected to insomnia
 • Responding to yourself with greater kindness
 • Understanding the difference between sleep disruption and insomnia
 • Navigating setbacks without turning them into a renewed struggle

This program is influenced by principles taught by Daniel Erichsen and The Sleep Coach School, where I completed my training as a Certified Sleep Coach. It also incorporates coaching techniques designed to help clients create meaningful and lasting change.

No coaching program can guarantee a particular sleep outcome. The goal is to help you move away from the exhausting cycle of fighting sleep and toward a calmer, more confident relationship with sleep and wakefulness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program for?
This program is designed for adults struggling with chronic insomnia who feel stuck despite trying many different solutions. It is particularly well suited for people who have become caught in a cycle of constantly thinking about, monitoring, or trying to fix their sleep.
Why don’t you recommend sleep hygiene for insomnia?
Sleep hygiene can be useful for people who want to support generally healthy sleep.

But chronic insomnia is different.

Most people with insomnia already know the usual advice: avoid caffeine late in the day, keep the room dark, limit screens, maintain a routine, and create a relaxing bedtime environment.

The problem is that insomnia often isn’t maintained by a lack of sleep hygiene knowledge. It’s maintained by fear, monitoring, pressure, and the effort to make sleep happen.

That’s why sleep hygiene can sometimes backfire. It can turn sleep into a project, and sleep is not something we can force through perfect behavior.

My coaching focuses less on adding more sleep rules and more on helping you relate differently to wakefulness, uncertainty, and the fear of not sleeping.
How many sessions are included?
The program currently includes eight private 45-minute coaching sessions.
Will I be cured of insomnia?
No coach can ethically guarantee a cure. The purpose of coaching is to help you better understand your situation, develop a different relationship with sleep and wakefulness, and support you as you make meaningful changes over time.
What if I've already tried everything?
Many clients feel this way before coaching. In fact, people who have tried numerous approaches are often the best fit because they are ready to explore a fundamentally different perspective on insomnia.
Is this therapy or medical treatment?
No. Coaching is not therapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional healthcare. If you have medical concerns, you should consult a qualified healthcare professional.
What happens after the eight-week program?
At the end of the eight-week program, we'll review your progress, discuss what you've learned, and talk about how to continue moving forward on your own. If you feel additional support would be helpful, we can also discuss what that might look like based on your individual situation.
What if I've already completed the free Insomnia Recovery Starter Course?
If you’ve already completed the free Insomnia Recovery Starter Course, you’ll recognize the first four video lessons in this program. You won’t need to rewatch them unless you’d find a refresher helpful.

The primary difference is that the Insomnia Recovery Program includes eight weeks of one-on-one coaching and additional lessons that build on the foundational material from the Starter Course. This allows us to apply the concepts to your specific situation, work through questions and setbacks as they arise, and go beyond the foundational material covered in the Starter Course.
