Trying so hard to give your best, but feeling exhausted, joyless, and never enough?
You’re still showing up.
Still trying to do what’s right.
Still wanting to give your wholehearted best.
Still wanting to give your wholehearted best.
But somewhere along the way, things have started to feel heavy.
Maybe you’re exhausted in a way that rest doesn’t seem to fix.
Maybe you feel guilty whenever you slow down.
Maybe you keep wondering why you can’t cope better.
Maybe you feel like you've lost your joy even though you’re doing all the “right” things.
And maybe that scares you a little.
Because doing your best really matters to you.
You don’t want to become selfish.
You don’t want to disappoint Jehovah.
You just want to stop feeling like you’re always falling short.
If that sounds familiar, welcome to SisterChat.
SisterChat is a compassionate, confidential space where you can talk things through with a coach who understands and 'gets' you as a Christian sister.
No judgment.
No pressure.
Just a kind space to open your heart, feel heard, and find one reasonable next step.
No pressure.
Just a kind space to open your heart, feel heard, and find one reasonable next step.
SisterChat may be for you if…
- You’re trying to give your best, but you feel exhausted, guilty, or joyless.
- You keep telling yourself, “I should be coping better than this.”
- You feel like no matter how much you do, it’s still not enough.
- You find it hard to rest unless you’ve completely run out of steam.
- You worry that slowing down means you’re being lazy, selfish, or spiritually weak.
- You’re grieving, disappointed, discouraged, or feeling quietly overwhelmed.
- You feel stuck in anxious overthinking or harsh self-talk.
- You’re tired of living by expectations, whether they’re your own or other people’s.
- You want to talk to someone with a caring heart, an impartial listening ear, and a spiritual perspective.
Sometimes “giving your best” starts to feel like giving your most
You want to give your best. That desire is beautiful. But sometimes, without realising it, “my best” quietly becomes:
“I should be doing more.”
“I should be able to keep going...or keep up.”
“I can't rest now; there's too much to do.”
“I should be able to keep going...or keep up.”
“I can't rest now; there's too much to do.”
That kind of giving can drain the joy out of even good things.
SisterChat gives you space to pause and gently ask:
What am I carrying?
What is this costing me?
What would be reasonable here?
What is one next step that doesn’t require me to keep overriding myself?
What is this costing me?
What would be reasonable here?
What is one next step that doesn’t require me to keep overriding myself?
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
What SisterChat is
SisterChat is a private online coaching conversation with me, Sharon.
It’s a space to talk through what’s weighing on you, especially if you’ve been holding it together for a long time.
We might talk about:
- feeling exhausted or joyless
- guilt around rest
- the pressure to keep up
- feeling never good enough
- grief, disappointment, or discouragement
- anxious overthinking
- expectations that feel heavy
- what a more sustainable pace could look like for you
We work at your pace. The aim is not to give you another list of things to do.
The aim is to help you feel heard, sort through what’s going on, and leave with a little more steadiness and a reasonable next step.
About me
I’m Sharon, a long-time Christian sister living in Australia. My husband and I have more than 27 years of full-time service behind us, including nearly 8 years at Bethel. My husband has also served as an elder for many years.
Along with many wonderful blessings, life has also included painful lows, including heartbreaking disappointment, grief, anxiety, panic attacks, and seasons where I felt stuck in negative thinking.
During those times, I deeply wanted appropriate, affordable help that respected my faith and values. But I didn’t know where to find it.
I also know what it feels like to believe you are never quite enough. No matter how hard I worked, I still felt like I was falling short and would never be good enough.
For a long time I thought my introverted nature made me not good enough. Despite pioneering for many years, I found it difficult to speak to strangers, both inside and outside the congregation. I was overwhelmed by large crowds and loud environments. Assemblies and conventions could be wonderful and draining at the same time.
Happily, things have changed.
I began to understand myself better. I learned to work with the way I’m made instead of constantly fighting against it. And I learned that giving my best does not mean giving the most I can possibly force out of myself.
That shift helped me find a calmer, more sustainable pace. It helped me find joy.
And that is why SisterChat exists. To help you do the same.
How I can help:
As a coach, I bring lived experience, practical tools, careful listening, and a strong ability to notice patterns and connections (my superpower!)
In SisterChat, I can help you:
- name what has been feeling heavy
- sort through the pressure underneath the exhaustion
- notice where guilt or fear may be driving you
- think through what is reasonable for your current season
- separate giving your best from giving your most
- find a next step that feels doable, not overwhelming
- begin making room for joy again
This is not about pushing you to make big changes before you’re ready.
It’s about helping you pause, breathe, think clearly, and take one kind, practical step forward.
