Yoga Nidra is my favourite practice amongst all of the offerings that we can tap into through the ancient practice of Yoga.
What I love about it is that in a short space of time, I can access the deepest rest and yet not fall asleep. I feel like I am floating between being fully awake and fully asleep.

I don't have to sleep for a few hours to feel rested - I can get the same boost of energy after going under a blanket Yoga Nidra!
The guided Meditation / Relaxation is usually done lying down with as many props as you need to be supremely comfortable, and I would always recommend to use headphones, if you have them.

The deep-dive Yoga Nidras in this package are based on scripts by Monika Daniel with beautiful language, inspired visualisations and will, I hope, really provide you with the feeling of coming back home to yourself.

In this package:

Yoga Nidra for Emotional Balance takes you to a riverbank, where you watch emotions swirl, come and go with the flow of the water, allowing any strong emotions to work through your energy body.

Yoga Nidra for Stress & Anxiety walks you through the 5 layers of the Self - the yogic Kosha system, in order to undo knots of tension, release stored anxiety, restore balance and return to your true self.

There are two SLEEP Nidras - for a reason! The Naptime one is for a deep daytime nap, and my voice will bring you back to wakefulness at the end.
At the end of the Bedtime one, my voice will fade away into silence so that you can stay asleep. Decide if you want to use a bluetooth speaker for this one instead of headphones!

The structure of a Yoga Nidra always contains a combination of some or all of these elements:
  • Settling the body
  • Settling the breath
  • Creating & Repeating your Sankalpa / Intention
  • Mindful Rotation around the body
  • Breathwork - observing / counting backwards
  • Opposite sensations - e.g. Heavy / Light or Warm / Cold
  • Visualisation - e.g walking in a forest, finding something of meaning
  • Silence
  • Repeating your Sankalpa / Intention again
  • Becoming aware of the body & breath again to come back

As a guided meditation, the intention is to stay awake and alert, even though the body and conscious mind grow sleepy - this gives us a glimpse of our deeper selves and the deeper layers of the mind. This is where we plant out Sankalpa, and let it get to work for personal growth and freedom!

I hope you enjoy using these on a regular basis and find you way home to inner stillness and peace of mind.
