Being qualified and being strategically positioned are not the same thing.

The Career Positioning Lab is a focused professional development experience designed to help you better understand what differentiates you—and translate that understanding into a clearer, more intentional professional identity.
Your engagement may incorporate a professional assessment such as CliftonStrengths®, DiSC®, or How to Fascinate®, selected based on your career goals and positioning needs. Rather than treating the assessment as the outcome, we use the results as one source of insight into how you naturally operate, communicate, influence others, and create value.

From there, we examine your experience, accomplishments, strengths, professional reputation, career goals, and current positioning to identify the gap between the value you bring and how effectively that value is being communicated.

Your intensive may explore:
  • Strengths & Talent: Identify recurring patterns in how you think, perform, solve problems, and contribute.
  • Communication & Behavioral Style: Understand how you interact with others and how your style may be experienced in the workplace.
  • Professional Differentiation: Identify the combination of capabilities, experiences, and attributes that distinguish you from similarly qualified professionals.
  • Career Narrative: Develop a clearer way to communicate who you are professionally, what you have accomplished, and where you are headed.
  • Visibility & Perception: Examine how your professional value is being demonstrated and interpreted by decision-makers.
  • Professional Brand: Strengthen the alignment between your résumé, LinkedIn presence, conversations, and career objectives.
  • Positioning Strategy: Develop specific actions for increasing visibility and positioning yourself for the opportunities you want.

Assessment Options

CliftonStrengths®
Best when the objective is understanding natural talent patterns and how those strengths can be intentionally applied to career development and leadership.

DiSC®
Best when communication, interpersonal effectiveness, leadership behavior, conflict, or workplace relationships are central to the client's goals.

How to Fascinate®
Best when the emphasis is professional differentiation and personal branding—particularly understanding how others are likely to experience and remember your value.

The Outcome

You won't simply leave with an assessment report.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of what you bring, how others may experience that value, how to communicate it, and how to position it toward your next opportunity.

Performance → Visibility → Perception → Opportunity

Testimonials

I had years of experience, certifications, and accomplishments, but when someone asked what made me different, I gave them my job description. The Positioning Lab helped me stop listing what I do and start communicating the value I actually bring. I finally have a professional story that sounds like me.

- Established Professional

I thought I needed someone to fix my résumé. What I actually needed was clarity about how I wanted to be positioned. Once we figured that out, my résumé, LinkedIn profile, and even the way I introduced myself started telling the same story. Employers really stalk, I mean vet their interests, so this is important!

- Mid-Career Professional

I kept thinking that if I worked hard enough, eventually the right people would notice. I had the performance, but I wasn't thinking about visibility or perception. The Positioning Lab changed how I think about advancement. I became much more intentional about making my contributions visible.

- Lisa T.

My assessment didn't tell me I needed to become someone different. It gave me language for strengths and patterns I had been using throughout my career without really understanding them. We then connected those strengths to how I should position myself professionally. That was the part that made it useful.

- Career Positioning Client

Before the Positioning Lab, my résumé said one thing, LinkedIn emphasized something else, and I talked about myself differently in interviews. We pulled my experience, strengths, accomplishments, and goals together into one clear direction. I feel much more prepared to pursue the opportunities I actually want.
