Who This is For

You're a runner with a goal that matters to you - a first race, a PR, a distance that scares you a little. You're putting in the work but not seeing the results you know you're capable of. Maybe the plan is wrong, maybe the execution is off, or maybe you've been following a schedule that has no idea what your week actually looks like - and you just need someone in your corner who actually knows endurance sports and how to build serious training around a busy life.

This call is the starting point.

What This Call Is — And What It Isn't

This is a 20-minute conversation to figure out if coaching makes sense for you. We'll talk about where you're at, what you're going after, and what's been getting in the way. I'll ask questions. You'll ask questions. And by the end we'll both know if it's worth going deeper.

If it is, the next step is a 1-hour coaching consultation where we get deep into the specifics - your training history, your goals, your timeline - before you commit to anything.

Depending on your goals and what we discuss, I'll walk you through your options - private 1:1 coaching or group coaching - and we'll figure out the right fit together.

There's no pressure and no pitch. Just an honest conversation about what would help you decide if coaching is the right next step for your training.

What to Expect

Book a time, fill out a short intake form, and show up ready to talk about your running.

I'll listen, ask the right questions, and by the end of the call you'll have a clearer picture of where your training stands, what's actually in the way, and what your best next steps are - whether that's working together or not.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is coaching in person or remote?
LYOA coaching is fully remote. Training is delivered through TrainingPeaks, calls are on Zoom, and athletes train on their own schedule. That means a personalized training plan, regular coaching calls, and direct access to a coach - with the flexibility to train where and when it works best.
What's the difference between private and group coaching?
Private coaching and group coaching both include an individualized training plan. The difference is call time. Private coaching is dedicated 1:1 time every session. Group coaching shares call time across a small group of athletes.
What happens after this call?
No decisions are made on the discovery call. If it feels like a good fit, the next step is a 1-hour coaching consult where we dig into training history, race goals, and timeline before anything is agreed to. For group coaching, athletes who are ready to go can skip straight to signup. For private coaching, the consult is part of the process - the investment and the level of customization make it worth the extra conversation.
