Holiday Haze

A 6-Week Parent Coaching Cohort for Parents of Teens & Preteens

Because the holidays are supposed to bring families together.
And sometimes… they bring out absolutely everything.
More time together.
Less routine.
Later nights.
More screens.
More expectations.
More family gatherings.
More opinions from grandparents, relatives, ex-spouses, and occasionally people who really did not need to weigh in.

And a teenager who may not be nearly as excited about family togetherness as you hoped they would be.

The holidays can be wonderful.

They can also be a lot.

For some families, this season brings excitement and connection. For others, it brings grief, divorce, complicated family relationships, financial stress, loneliness, changing traditions, or the strange realization that your teenager no longer wants to participate in the holidays the way they once did.

And when everyone is stressed, routines are off, and your teen is home more often, little tensions can become big ones very quickly.

Holiday Haze is here to help you move through this season feeling steadier, clearer, and more confident in yourself as a parent.

Not because I can guarantee your teenager will happily join the family cookie-decorating night.
I have limits.

But because you can learn how to:

  • Navigate increased time together without constantly correcting, nagging, or arguing
  • Hold boundaries when routines and schedules are changing
  • Decide what is actually worth addressing—and what you can let go
  • Respond to irritability, withdrawal, pushback, and big emotions without immediately getting pulled in
  • Handle extended-family dynamics while protecting your relationship with your teen
  • Create realistic expectations around phones, sleep, friends, chores, and family time
  • Recognize when your teen needs support and when they need some breathing room
  • Repair when a holiday moment goes sideways
  • Take care of your own emotional regulation when you are the one feeling stretched thin

Because sometimes the most important thing you can bring to your family during the holidays isn't another tradition.

It's a parent who feels grounded enough to lead through the chaos.

Six weeks of support—right when family life tends to get a little louder.

Each week, you'll have a place to bring what is actually happening in your home.
The Thanksgiving conflict.

The teen who refuses to come out of their room when family visits.
The argument about screen time because school is out.
The divorced-parent scheduling mess.
The grandparent who questions your parenting.
The child who is struggling emotionally while everyone else seems determined to be merry.
The family tradition your teenager suddenly wants nothing to do with.
Or simply the exhaustion of trying to create a magical holiday while simultaneously parenting an adolescent human.

We'll sort through what matters, what doesn't, where you have influence, and how you want to respond.

You don't need to create a perfect holiday.

You don't even need to create a conflict-free one.

The goal is to come through this season feeling more like the parent you want to be—rather than wondering in January what on earth just happened.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to attend all six sessions?
Ideally, yes. The group builds from week to week, so attending consistently will help you get the most from the experience.
What if I have to miss a session?
Life happens. If you need to miss a session, you will still have access to that week’s resources and homework so you can stay connected to the material.
Is this group only for parents of teenagers?
The group is designed primarily for parents of teens and preteens who are navigating the developmental shifts, communication challenges, and changing relationships that come with adolescence.
Will I be expected to share personal family information?
No. You are welcome to participate at the level that feels comfortable for you. There will be opportunities to ask questions and receive coaching, but no one will be pressured to share.
Is this therapy?
No. This is a coaching and educational program focused on practical parenting tools, communication, reflection, and support. It is not a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment.
What kind of homework will there be?
Homework will be simple and practical—reflection prompts, communication exercises, or small strategies to try at home between sessions.
Will there be time to ask questions about my own teen?
Yes. Each session will include time for questions, discussion, and coaching around real-life parenting situations. While there may not be time for every parent to receive individual coaching during every session, you’ll benefit from hearing the questions, experiences, and coaching of others—often discovering that another parent’s situation has a lot to teach you about your own.
How is this different from private coaching?
Private coaching is fully individualized to your family. This cohort combines education and live coaching with the added benefit of learning alongside other parents who are navigating many of the same challenges.
