This is a 2 day workshop that will teach you how to make a slab plate from porcelain clay, shaping and molding it to create a fall themed plate.
- Day 1 - build a slab fall themed plate. This needs one week to dry and be fired before day 2.
- Day 2- learn how to glaze your plate with non-toxic glazes that are food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwaveable-safe. This will be fired one more time before a pick up time will be determined.
- Optional: this workshop can be taken multiple times to create various styles of fall plates!

Can I bring a friend, my child, or my partner/spouse?
Absolutely! I highly suggest it because the more the merrier! This will create such fun memories! I honor a 20% discount on each additional friend, up to 3 additional people. My studio space can only fit 4 people at a time per session. Please contact Amanda directly if there will be additional people signing up with you to receive the 20% on each additional person.

How many people can sign up for this class in one sessions?
My studio space can comfortably fit 4 people at a time for hand-building workshops. Pottery lessons can only have 2 students per sessions.
Can I take this workshop again to make a different plate?
Yes! Students can repeat this workshop and get different results and make different plates!
What type of clay will I be using?
Porcelain clay. The clay is recycled and reclaimed, made in Amanda’s studio.
Will I be able to keep my plate when I’m done with this workshop?
Yes! All yours to use and enjoy or gift to someone!
Will my plate be safe to use with food, in a microwave, or dishwasher?
Yess! All glazes are non-toxic and food-safe and are a high-fire glazes, so they are safe to use in microwaves and dishwashers.
