Coaching | Strengths | Health | Inspired | Transformative
Darren's story began with his successful career as a respected contributor in a well-established MNC, but he could not shake off the feeling that something was missing. Despite having a rich life, living and working in different countries and graduating with a Master's degree from the prestigious University of Oxford, Darren felt stuck in a state of "meh". This feeling was known as languishing, and he realized that he was not alone in this palatable state. Except that human beings are meant to flourish. This is the main promise from the founder of the science of Positive Psychology, Dr. Martin Seligman.

As he explored how he could grow beyond languishing, Darren took courses on "Managing Emotions in Times of Uncertainty & Stress" and the "the Science of Wellbeing" from Yale University. This led him to become a certified life coach and a certified positive psychology coach. He was now embarking on the accreditation process with the International Coaching Federation under the guidance of Robert Biswas-Diener's Positive Acorn school.

DrivenMeandrous?
DrivenMeandrous was made up of two terms: "driven" and "meandrous." While the meaning of "driven" is commonly understood, Darren explained the meaning of "meandrous." It was defined as following a winding and turning course, fluidly in a forward direction, speaking or writing in sustained fashion on a number of connected topics, and being directed in various directions. The suffix "-ous" formed the adjective to characterize or to be of “the nature of”. So "DrivenMeandrous" communicates the notion of being in a state of inexorable fluid resolve.

As I pursued my journey of self-discovery and growth, I discovered my passion for coaching and helping others unlock their potential. My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the power within themselves to become the best version of themselves. As a coach, I strive to co-create a safe and non-judgmental space that evokes awareness and enables clients to choose meaningful outcomes. I understand that true transformation is not always easy, and that is why I scaffold accountability through respectful challenging of limiting beliefs. My aim is to help my clients overcome their self-imposed barriers and to honor their potential to become the person they knew they were all along. I firmly believe in the science of positive psychology, and I am committed to supporting my clients in building a strong foundation for their personal and professional growth.
