Leadership development will be more likely to succeed if participants have an opportunity to discuss and experience the benefits for themselves. Researchers have long advised employing “experiential learning” to achieve better results.

Therefore, all presentations, workshops, and online meetings will be highly structured so that participants can ask questions, discuss content, and in many cases experience best practices. Participants will not suffer “death by PowerPoint.”

Effective leadership requires using skills that might be underdeveloped for many participants—skills such as active listening, improved time management, allocation of resources, student support, mediating conflict, generating consensus, etc. Depending on the particular focus of each workshop, participants will be able to interact with one another to experience what it might be like to employ more effective approaches to the challenges that they face. Depending on the needs, resources, and desires of the client institution, the following services are available:

·      In-Person Presentations and Workshops. I will provide one-day or multi-day presentations and workshops for selected groups. These sessions will be informative and interactive with highly structured opportunities for networking and role playing as desired. Content will be tailored and branded for your institution. While larger groups can be accommodated, sessions work best for 30 or fewer persons. Cost will start at $2,500 per 6-hour day or $4,000 per 8 hours over 2 days plus travel/lodging expenses.

·      Virtual Meetings and Workshops. I will provide online meetings and workshops (via Zoom) that include informative presentations and opportunities for discussion. These sessions will be highly structured to facilitate constructive interaction. Content will be tailored and branded for your institution. To maximize online interaction, participation will be limited to 10 or fewer persons. Each participant will be expected to have access to an individual computer workstation in a location free from external distraction. Cost will start at $1,500 minimum or $200 per person per hour, whichever is greater. Length of each session and number of days required can be negotiated.

Assistance with special projects and consultation for academic or professional leadership programs can be provided on an ad hoc basis. Please get in touch to inquire further.
