Terms & Conditions for Advisory Services

Introduction
Welcome to The SEG Company. By scheduling or engaging in advisory services provided by The SEG Company, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our services.

Services
The SEG Company provides strategic advisory and consulting services designed to support founders and business leaders in evaluating business challenges, strengthening systems and processes, and making thoughtful strategic decisions.

Current advisory offerings may include:

  • Founder Advisory Session
  • Founder Advisory Partnership
  • Identity Architect Intensive

Each engagement is structured individually and may include advisory conversations, strategic guidance, and recommendations based on the client’s goals and circumstances.

All services are advisory in nature.
 The SEG Company provides insight, frameworks, and guidance.
 Clients retain full responsibility for all decisions, actions, and implementation.

Advisory Sessions
Advisory sessions are conducted virtually unless otherwise agreed.

Sessions are designed to provide thoughtful discussion, analysis, and strategic guidance based on the information provided by the client.

Clients are responsible for:

  • Attending sessions on time
  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Making independent decisions regarding implementation

The SEG Company does not guarantee specific outcomes, including revenue growth, profitability, or business performance.

Advisory Partnerships
Ongoing advisory partnerships provide structured strategic support over an agreed period.

Partnerships may include:
  • Scheduled advisory sessions
  • Strategic guidance between sessions (when applicable)
  • Ongoing review of progress and evolving priorities

A minimum engagement period may apply (typically three months).
 Clients are responsible for fulfilling the full commitment period once the engagement begins.

Payment Terms
Payment terms are provided at the time of booking or outlined in the engagement agreement.
Unless otherwise specified:
  • Payment is due prior to scheduled sessions
  • Advisory fees are non-refundable and are charged for time, preparation, and access to advisory services. This applies regardless of outcomes, participation level, or implementation.
  • Advisory partnerships require payment for the full minimum engagement period. Payment options may be available on a case by case discussion.
  • Recurring payments may be required for ongoing services
Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation or suspension of services.

Scheduling & Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule a session with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Sessions cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice may be considered forfeited and are not guaranteed to be rescheduled.

Confidentiality
The SEG Company respects the confidentiality of client information.
Information shared during advisory engagements will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except as required by law.
Clients are responsible for maintaining the security of their own confidential information when participating in virtual sessions.

Disclaimer
No Guarantee of Results
The SEG Company provides strategic advisory services based on professional experience and judgment.
We do not guarantee specific results, including but not limited to revenue growth, profitability, or business performance.
Outcomes depend on multiple factors outside our control, including implementation, market conditions, and client decisions.

Independent Decision-Making
Clients acknowledge that all recommendations are advisory only and that they are solely responsible for evaluating and implementing any guidance provided.
Clients agree that they are not relying exclusively on The SEG Company for business decisions.

Not Legal or Financial Advice
The SEG Company does not provide legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice.
Clients should seek qualified professionals for specialized guidance in those areas.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The SEG Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Termination
Either party may terminate an advisory engagement with written notice, subject to any minimum engagement period.
Fees for services already delivered or committed during the engagement period remain payable.

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

Amendments
The SEG Company reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
