Sundog Coaching – Coaching Partnership Terms & Conditions
Effective April 2025

At Sundog Coaching, we take a practical, no-nonsense approach to leadership development. We provide iterative, experiential coaching designed to help first-time managers, seasoned executives, co-founders, and high-performing individual contributors navigate the complexities of leadership and career growth. Whether it’s managing up, influencing without authority, driving team performance, or having tough conversations, we create space for leaders to reflect, challenge assumptions, and grow.

This agreement outlines how we’ll work together to get the most out of this partnership—whether through one-on-one coaching, team sessions, or group programs.

1. Purpose of the Partnership
Coaching engagements are designed to support the Client (individual, team, or group member) in achieving personal and professional growth through targeted, action-oriented coaching. It’s a two-way street built on trust, consistency, and a shared commitment to progress.

2. What You Can Count On From Your Coach
As your Coach, I commit to:

  • Listening actively and generously for what truly matters to you
  • Providing honest, clear, and direct feedback
  • Challenging assumptions while holding a supportive space for exploration
  • Helping you stay accountable to your commitments

  • Flexibly adjusting meeting logistics when life or business gets in the way
  • Signing NDAs or confidentiality agreements if required

To get the most from this partnership, I’ll count on you to:

  • Be on time and ready to go at the start of each session
  • Prepare in advance so we make the most of our time together
  • Stay present and distraction-free during coaching

  • Uphold confidentiality and trust among all participants. What’s shared in the group stays in the group.
  • Engage respectfully, listen generously, and support others’ learning journeys.
  • Contribute actively while also allowing space for others.
  • Show up prepared, present, and committed to both your own growth and that of the group.

5. Additional Client Responsibilities
Depending on the nature of the coaching program, you may also be asked to:

  • Share access to relevant documents, org charts, or team members if applicable
  • Provide feedback on deliverables, assessments, or strategic direction
  • Proactively communicate changes, challenges, or needs that affect the work
  • Reach out as needed—this is a collaborative process, not just a scheduled one

6. Shared Commitments
Coach and Client mutually agree to:

  • Stay aligned through clear, honest communication
  • Notify one another quickly of any changes or disruptions that may impact the coaching
  • Be flexible and accommodating when scheduling changes are required
  • Commit to the success of the engagement by showing up fully and giving feedback regularly

7. Confidentiality
Confidentiality is foundational to this work. All information shared in individual or team sessions will remain confidential unless agreed otherwise.

In group coaching, all participants are expected to uphold confidentiality among peers—this creates a safe space for open discussion, trust, and growth.

Exceptions will only be made when required by law or with express permission.

8. Fees and Payment
Fees will be outlined in a separate engagement agreement or contract. Delays in payment may result in paused services until resolved.

9. Program Duration, Missed Sessions, and Cancellations
The duration of your coaching engagement will vary depending on the specific program or package purchased. All coaching fees are paid in advance of sessions unless otherwise outlined in your program agreement or contract.

We understand that life happens. If you need to miss a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. In most cases, no-show or missed sessions without prior notice will not be rescheduled, though exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

If you need to end your coaching program early, we’ll work with you to ensure any unused sessions are credited toward future coaching. Refunds for coaching fees paid will follow the terms outlined in your specific program agreement or contract.

Our aim is to be flexible and fair while maintaining the integrity and momentum of the coaching experience—for you and for others in our programs.

10. Let’s Get to Work
Coaching with Sundog isn’t about fluff. It’s about getting real, getting clear, and getting results. When we both show up—ready, honest, and committed—coaching becomes a catalyst for powerful change.
