1. Purpose of Services
Messy Bun Mental Balance provides coaching and psychology-informed personal development services. Coaching is focused on helping you gain insight, set goals, and build sustainable practices that support your mental well-being.
These services are not clinical therapy, and participation does not establish a therapist–client relationship. If at any point it becomes clear that therapy or other professional services would be more appropriate, I’ll discuss referral options with you.
2. Confidentiality
Your privacy matters deeply. Information shared in sessions is treated as confidential, with the following exceptions:
  • You provide written permission to share information.
  • There is risk of harm to yourself or others.
  • Information is required by law (e.g., child or elder abuse reporting).
Digital communication (e.g., email, video calls) will be handled with care, though absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed over the internet.
3. Scheduling & Cancellations
All sessions are booked through Paperbell. You may reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited.
  • If I need to reschedule, you will always be offered a new time or a refund for that session.
For workshops or group events, refunds are available up to 7 days before the event date unless otherwise stated.
4. Payment & Packages
Payment is processed securely through Paperbell at the time of booking.
  • Packages must be used within the time period stated in your purchase confirmation.
  • Packages or sessions are non-transferable and non-refundable once services have begun.
Sliding scale and community pricing options may be offered at my discretion.
5. Scope of Practice
Coaching is a collaborative process that supports personal growth, balance, and insight. I do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for mental health conditions in a coaching context.
If you are currently under the care of a licensed therapist, psychiatrist, or medical provider, you are encouraged to inform them of your participation in coaching if relevant to your care.
6. Client Responsibility
Your results depend on your own participation, honesty, and effort. Coaching offers support, tools, and reflection. It does not guarantee specific outcomes.
You agree to take full responsibility for your own well-being during and between sessions, and to communicate any concerns promptly.
7. Technology & Access
Sessions are typically conducted in-person or via google meet (link provided through Paperbell).
You are responsible for ensuring a private, quiet space and stable internet connection. Please arrive on time; sessions will end at the scheduled time even if you join late.
8. Communication Between Sessions
Email or messaging between sessions may be used for brief check-ins or scheduling only. Coaching feedback, resources, or deeper discussion should take place within scheduled sessions unless otherwise arranged.
9. Intellectual Property
All materials, resources, and content shared through Messy Bun Mental Balance — including worksheets, journal prompts, and digital workbooks — are for your personal use only and may not be shared, sold, or distributed without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
By participating in coaching or workshops, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own decisions and well-being. Messy Bun Mental Balance and Heather Delcourt are not liable for any outcomes or damages resulting from your participation.
11. Agreement
By booking a session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
