Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026
By purchasing or scheduling coaching services with Keith Kannenberg, doing business as Legend Coaching, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
Coaching Relationship
Coaching is a collaborative professional relationship designed to support personal and professional development, leadership effectiveness, strategic thinking, and goal attainment. The coach may provide questions, observations, feedback, assessments, and development resources as appropriate.
The client remains responsible for their own decisions, actions, results, and well-being. Coaching does not guarantee any specific personal, professional, financial, employment, or organizational outcome.
Coaching Is Not Therapy or Professional Advice
Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or treatment for a mental-health condition. It is not a substitute for services provided by a qualified healthcare, mental-health, legal, or financial professional.
If either the coach or client determines that another type of professional assistance would be more appropriate, the coaching relationship may be paused or concluded.
Confidentiality
Information shared during coaching sessions will be treated as confidential except when:
  • The client gives written permission to disclose it;
  • Disclosure is required by law or court order;
  • There is a reasonable concern involving imminent harm to the client or another person; or
  • The information concerns suspected abuse or neglect that must legally be reported.
For organization-sponsored coaching, the client, coach, and sponsoring organization will establish in advance what information may be shared. Unless otherwise agreed, the content of individual coaching conversations will remain confidential. General information such as attendance, participation, agreed-upon goals, or overall progress may be shared only as specified in the coaching agreement.
Scheduling and Attendance
Sessions must be scheduled through the Legend Coaching scheduling system. Clients are responsible for attending appointments on time and ensuring that they have an appropriate private setting, reliable internet access, and functioning technology for virtual sessions.
A client who arrives late will receive the remainder of the scheduled session. The session will generally not be extended beyond its original ending time.
Rescheduling and Cancellation
Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling a session. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be considered used and will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.
Exceptions may be made at the discretion of Legend Coaching for emergencies or circumstances beyond the client’s reasonable control.
If Legend Coaching must cancel a session, the client may reschedule it without penalty.
Payments and Refunds
Payment is due according to the terms shown on the applicable package purchase page.
A purchase may be refunded if the client submits a written cancellation request before the first coaching session. Any assessment costs already incurred—including assessments that have been ordered, accessed, initiated, or completed—will be deducted from the refund.
Once the first coaching session has begun, coaching fees are nonrefundable unless otherwise stated in writing. Completed sessions, assessment costs, assessment reports, and delivered materials are nonrefundable.
Package Expiration
Unless a different expiration period is stated in the package description or coaching agreement, all sessions must be used within six months of the purchase date.
Any sessions remaining six months after the purchase date will expire and be forfeited unless Legend Coaching approves an extension in writing.
Assessments
Some coaching services may include instruments such as the EQ-i 2.0, EQ 360, DiSC, Hogan, or other leadership assessments. These tools are intended to support development and discussion. They are not medical or psychological diagnoses and should not be used as the sole basis for employment, promotion, termination, or other high-impact decisions.
Assessment access, reports, and related fees are nonrefundable once an assessment has been ordered, accessed, initiated, or completed.
Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to participate honestly, communicate openly, attend scheduled sessions, and take responsibility for decisions and actions arising from coaching. The effectiveness of coaching depends in part on the client’s willingness to reflect, experiment, and follow through between sessions.
The client agrees to conduct themselves respectfully. Legend Coaching reserves the right to end the coaching relationship if the client engages in threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate behavior.
Intellectual Property
Materials provided by Legend Coaching—including exercises, frameworks, presentations, worksheets, assessments, and written resources—remain the intellectual property of Keith Kannenberg, Legend Coaching, or their respective owners.
Clients may use these materials for their own personal or internal professional development. They may not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, teach, or commercially use the materials without prior written permission.
Technology and Recording
Virtual coaching may be delivered through third-party platforms. Legend Coaching is not responsible for interruptions caused by internet failures, platform outages, or other technical problems beyond its reasonable control. When such problems materially disrupt a session, the parties will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or complete it.
Neither the client nor Legend Coaching may record a session without the other party’s prior knowledge and written consent.
Ending the Coaching Relationship
Either the client or Legend Coaching may end the coaching relationship by providing written notice. Any outstanding payment obligations remain due. Refunds for unused services, if any, will be handled according to the package terms, the coaching agreement, and the refund provisions above.
Legend Coaching may immediately suspend or terminate services for nonpayment, misconduct, misuse of materials, or a material violation of these terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms will be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, the parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve any disagreement through direct discussion or mutually agreed mediation. Any legal proceeding arising from these terms or the coaching relationship will be brought in a court of appropriate jurisdiction located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
Changes to These Terms
Legend Coaching may revise these terms periodically. The terms in effect on the date a package is purchased will ordinarily govern that purchase unless the client agrees to updated terms.
