Nature and Scope of Coaching
Integrative Health and Wellness coaching is a collaborative, client-centered partnership aligned with the ethical standards of the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Coaching supports self-awareness, accountability, and sustainable behavior change related to health and wellbeing.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, mental health counseling, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not replace care from licensed healthcare professionals. Coaching is a separate entity from the coach’s background in nursing. If medical, psychological, or therapeutic support is needed; the client agrees to seek appropriate licensed care.

Coaching Commitment
By entering this partnership, the Client and Coach acknowledge that the Client desires to make a behavioral change or some type of improvement in his or her life. Behavioral change often takes time to implement and sustain. The pace of change is uncertain and varies amongst individuals.
As such, the Client and Coach agree to a minimum of a 3-month, meeting at least every other week. At the conclusion of three months, Coach and Client will re-evaluate progress and determine whether to continue, adjust, or conclude the coaching relationship.
Initial Session: 60-75 minutes
Follow-Up Sessions: 45-60 minutes

First Visit Preparation
During the initial session, Coach and Client will explore Client’s vision, values, and satisfaction across the seven core areas of health before creating a SMART goal and initial action steps.
Client agrees to sign and return all required paperwork at least 48 hours prior to the initial session. Complete the Vision Map and My Health & Wellbeing: Core Areas worksheets prior to the first session.

Follow-Up Sessions
After our initial session, I ask that you come to the coaching sessions prepared to share what you have experienced working towards your goal. What were the action steps? Were they achieved? What were the lessons in the challenges and the successes? What changes might you want to make, if any?

Communication Between Sessions
Coach can provide reasonable additional support via email and text messaging between sessions per client request.

Response time may take up to 24 hours during business days and 48 hours on the weekends. Between-session communication does not replace scheduled coaching sessions. Communication is not intended for emergency or crisis support.

Payment
Payment is due in full prior to the start of coaching services. Coaching packages are non-refundable. Unused sessions may be transferable, and all sessions expire one year from purchase date.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed without notice are forfeited and will not be rescheduled or refunded. Late arrival does not extend session time.

Client and Coach Expectations
The key to an effective coaching relationship is communication. Please be honest with yourself and me throughout the coaching process. You can expect me to be straightforward, constructive and confidential. You can say anything to me, positive or negative; this includes honesty in your responses to me and letting me know if something makes you uncomfortable or if you don't want to respond to a question. Please let me know at any time if you have concerns that we haven’t addressed.
As your coach, I am a resource for you to use to your best advantage. I will share concepts or insights and ask re-orienting questions that are intended to increase your success in attaining your health goals.
I expect you to be willing to grow. From time-to-time, I’ll make a direct request, like: “Will you accomplish ‘X’ by the end of the month?” You always have the option of accepting a request, declining, or counteroffering something that might be more workable for you.
Feel empowered to provide feedback to me if something is/is not working for you.
