The Free Coaching Discovery Call is a complimentary 20-minute conversation designed to help us briefly discuss your current goals, answer questions about Christian life coaching, and determine whether My Story in HIStory coaching services may be a good fit for you.

This call is not a full coaching session and does not establish an ongoing coach-client relationship.

2. Scope of Coaching

Christian life coaching is a collaborative process intended to support personal growth, clarity, goal-setting, decision-making, and forward action from a Christian perspective.

Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical or mental-health treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or pastoral care. Christie Hatten does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions. If your needs fall outside the scope of coaching, you may be encouraged to seek assistance from an appropriately licensed professional.

3. Christian and Faith-Based Approach

My Story in HIStory provides Christian, Spirit-led life coaching. Biblical principles, Scripture, faith-based reflection, and prayer may be discussed during the call when appropriate. Prayer will only be offered with your permission. You are always free to decline prayer or a particular faith-based activity.

4. Confidentiality

Information shared during the discovery call will be treated respectfully and kept private to the extent reasonably possible. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed when disclosure is required by applicable law, court order, or reasonably necessary to address a serious and imminent threat to someone’s health or safety.

The call will not be recorded without your knowledge and consent.

5. Personal Responsibility and Results

You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, well-being, and results. No specific outcome, transformation, or result is promised or guaranteed from the discovery call or any future coaching services.

6. Emergency and Crisis Situations

My Story in HIStory is not an emergency, crisis-response, or mental-health service. If you are experiencing an emergency or believe you may harm yourself or someone else, call 911, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or contact an appropriate licensed professional immediately.

7. Scheduling, Cancellation, and Late Arrival

Because appointment time is reserved specifically for you, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the call may need to be shortened or treated as a missed appointment. One courtesy rescheduling opportunity may be provided at the coach’s discretion.

8. Technology
The discovery call will be conducted virtually. Although reasonable efforts will be made to provide a reliable connection, My Story in HIStory is not responsible for interruptions caused by internet service, devices, software, or other circumstances outside its control. If a significant technical problem occurs, the call may be rescheduled.

9. Future Coaching Services

Booking or participating in a discovery call does not obligate you to purchase coaching services, and it does not obligate My Story in HIStory to accept you as a coaching client.

If we mutually decide to work together, paid coaching services will be governed by a separate coaching agreement, package terms, payment policy, and cancellation policy.
