What is the 3-month deep dive?
It's three months of one-to-one support to get you through the whole application process. We start with your CV and LinkedIn profile, then work through your cover letters and applications for real roles, and prepare for interview if you're invited. By the end you'll know how to do this yourself.
Who is it for?
Senior professionals going for leadership roles who expect to apply for several jobs, and who want to understand how recruiters think. If you have one role and a deadline next week, the CV & Cover Letter Transformation is the better fit.
How is it different from the CV & Cover Letter Transformation?
The Transformation is for one specific role. The Accelerator covers three months, up to four applications, LinkedIn and interview preparation, with eight calls.
What do I walk away with?
A CV and LinkedIn profile in your own words, up to four applications written for the roles you're after, and a clear method for the next ones. Once we've worked through your first one or two roles, you'll have what you need to carry on without me.
What's covered?
Your CV, your LinkedIn profile, cover letters, and the applications themselves. If you're invited to interview, we prepare for that too.
How many calls do I get, and how long are they?
12 calls over the three months. Each is 50 minutes, and I'm happy to run to an hour if we're getting somewhere.
How many applications can we work on together?
Up to four. The first one or two are where the real learning happens. After that you'll be doing it yourself and I'll be checking your work.
What if I'm invited to interview?
Brilliant, thats our goal. We'll prepare for it.
Can I apply for different types of roles?
Yes. The four applications can be for any roles you like, in different organisations or even different sectors. We'll tailor each one.
Will you write my CV and cover letters for me?
No, and this is a core belief of IDCV. Recruiters can tell when something doesn't sound like the person. You write every word and I'll challenge it, question it and sharpen it, so what goes in is clearly yours and clearly right for the role.
I'm in a different time zone. Does that matter?
Not at all. Booking shows availability in your local time.
How much time will I need to put in?
A few hours a week on average, maybe more when an application is live.
What do I need to send before we start?
Your current CV, your LinkedIn profile URL, and any roles you're thinking of applying for.
Can you work to donor formats, such as EU or FCDO?
Yes. If a role asks for a specific format, we'll work to it. You'll still be writing it yourself.
What if I get a job early?
Brilliant. That's the whole point. If you land the role in week three, you've done what you came to do. Tell me about it, because I'll be delighted.
When does it start?
ASAP. On the date of our first call. Please book it within [14 days] of paying. Your three months run from that day.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. [The fee can be split into three monthly payments, with the first taken when you book.] After the 14-day cancellation period, the full amount is due across the three payments, even if you finish early or stop using the service.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. You have 14 days from the day after you pay to cancel for any reason. If we've already started, I'll charge you for the work done so far and refund the rest. After the 14 days, the package runs as agreed.
What if I don't use all my calls? Do I get a refund or credit?
No. The price covers the three months of support with the aim to land a job, not the number of calls used. If you'd like to get the most out of it, book your calls early. I'll be there for all of them.
Can I extend it if I need longer?
The three months are fixed. If you'd like more time, get in touch and we'll talk.
Do you guarantee interviews or a job?
No, and I'd be wary of anyone who does. I don't control who gets shortlisted, and nor do you. What I can do is help you make it very easy for a recruiter to say yes, because I've been the person on the other side of that pile of CVs for over 20 years.
Is what I share with you confidential?
Yes. Your CV, your applications and our conversations stay between us, unless you ask me to share them.
I may use some themes that come up anecdotally for marketing purposes but these would never refer to you by name or make it clear who they refer to. It will be completely anonymous.
