A Year of Letting Go

Support for Moms Navigating Senior Year to Next Steps

A safe, supportive space to process the mix of pride, loss, and uncertainty that comes as your children grow up and to rediscover who you are beyond being “mom.”

Your teen's senior year brings a swirl of emotions no one fully prepares you for.
  • You’re proud, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.
  • You’re also carrying a quiet ache, a growing tenderness, and the unsettling sense that everything is shifting under your feet.

This is the liminal space of motherhood—the space between what was and what will be.

And the truth is, most moms expect logistical challenges during this season. Few anticipate the internal ones.
  •  The grief.
  • The emotional whiplash.
  • The identity questions.
  • The loneliness.
  • The strange quiet after years of being needed.

And for moms of differently wired teens, these shifts can feel even more layered and delicate.

You don’t have to process all of this alone.

A Year of Letting Go offers a calm, reflective space to walk through this twelve-month transition with support, clarity, and compassionate guidance.

A Journey Through Three Stages of Transition

This year-long program covers three stages that mirror the natural emotional arc of this season: Wrapping Up, Preparation, and Adjusting.

Each month centers on what you are experiencing internally. You’ll have one coaching session per month to help you reflect, understand, and gently let go.

What We’ll Explore Over 12 Sessions

STAGE ONE: Wrapping Up
A gentle place to reflect on the closing of a long, meaningful chapter.

January – Taking a Pulse on Where You Are
A grounded check-in on your emotional landscape as senior year takes shape.

February – What Is Important About the Next Few Months
Clarifying what matters most so you can finish the school year with intention rather than pressure.

March – Processing the Range of Feelings About the Upcoming Transition
Making space for grief, hope, fear, pride, tenderness, and the unexpected emotions that arise.

April – Celebrating Your Accomplishments
Reflecting on who you’ve been, what you’ve carried, and how faithfully you’ve shown up.

May – Finding Peace in the Final Stretch
Honoring the many “lasts,” navigating emotional whiplash, and giving yourself grace when the intensity catches you off guard.

STAGE TWO: Preparation
Preparing your heart for what’s next.

June – Releasing Control
Exploring how to turn over responsibility while remaining steady and supportive during this transition.

July – What’s Your New Role?
Reflecting on the quiet shift from daily guidance to supportive presence as your child steps toward independence.

August – Living With an Adult Child
Processing the emotional and practical adjustments that come when your teen becomes an adult still living in your home or living on their own.

STAGE THREE: Adjusting
Settling into the new season and beginning to imagine what’s next for you.

September – Settling Into a New Routine
Exploring what feels grounding, nourishing, and sustainable in this new chapter.

October – Adjusting To A New Normal
Making sense of your emotions as the new normal takes shape for both of you.

November – The Holidays Will Be Different
Creating space for shifting traditions, expectations, and rhythms.

December – Reviewing the Year
Processing the insight, gratitude, and clarity from everything you’ve learned this year.

Testimonials

Coaching with Crystal came at the perfect moment as I prepared for my daughter’s graduation and the shift away from homeschooling. After years of structuring my days around my child’s learning, I felt anxious and unsure about who I was becoming and what life would look like without that familiar role. Crystal created room for me to slow down, reflect, and gently explore what I would miss and what I wanted for this next chapter. Her powerful questions and presence helped me see how my strengths could carry into a new season. I left our work together feeling more grounded, hopeful, and clear about my direction.

- Amanda

Working with Crystal brought the fresh perspective I needed during a season of significant life changes. Coaching helped me focus on what truly mattered, rather than getting lost in the small details. One simple but powerful shift—committing to my daily three—has helped me feel more accomplished and stable. Even when a day doesn’t go as planned, I know I’ve had a win.

- Melissa K.

Crystal has this way of asking questions that makes you look deep inside yourself and try to understand yourself even more. The most beneficial part for me was how she helped me look at different parts of myself deeply. I now have a clearer picture of what I truly want, and I’m better at setting realistic expectations for this season of motherhood I’m in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program for?
Moms of high school seniors who want a calm, steady place to process the emotional and personal transition of senior year through the first semester of college.
Is this coaching about parenting or supporting my teen?
No. This journey focuses on your experience, emotions, identity, rhythms, and growth. It is not parenting advice or teen-support coaching. If you are looking for support in how to walk alongside your teen, I do offer that as well. Schedule a Discovery Call, and we can talk about how to combine the two in a way that best fits your season.
Do I have to complete the journal prompts before each session?
Not at all. The prompts are simply an invitation to help you slow down and gather your thoughts if that feels supportive. You’re welcome to show up exactly as you are.
Can I start mid-year?
Absolutely! You can begin at any point in the calendar year. We can pick up with the month you are in and continue the journey from there. Any remaining sessions can be used in whatever way best supports you during this season.
How does the LEGO® Serious Play® session work?
In our first session, you will use LEGO® bricks to reflect, think, and create meaning in a hands-on way. It’s simple, accessible, and surprisingly insightful. We can use LEGO® Serious Play® during any of your sessions to help you see and process your thoughts.
Is there a faith component?
We can include faith if you want to, but we don’t have to. I’m comfortable bringing it into our conversations when it feels meaningful to you, and I’m equally comfortable keeping the focus elsewhere.
Where do we meet for coaching calls?
1:1 coaching calls are held via Zoom, telephone call, or FaceTime. You'll receive instructions on how to connect once your payment is completed.
I’m neurodivergent / highly sensitive. Will this space work for me?
Absolutely. This coaching space is designed to be calm, spacious, and reflective, creating a supportive environment for women who are neurodivergent, highly sensitive, or simply wired to process information more deeply.

You’re welcome to bring your full self here. Your unique energy, sensory needs, and ways of thinking.

Because my approach is neurodiversity-informed and strengths-based, you’ll find that sessions move at a pace that works for you. Together, we’ll create a coaching rhythm that feels safe, sustainable, and life-giving.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Your time is valuable, and so is mine. To honor both, here’s what you can expect:
  • Refunds: I do not offer refunds for coaching sessions.
  • Cancellations: Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before our scheduled time. Sessions canceled within 24 hours are subject to forfeiting the session fee.
  • Late arrivals: If you arrive late, that time will be deducted from your session. If you’re more than 10 minutes late without contacting me, the session will be canceled and considered forfeited.
  • Expiration: All purchased sessions must be booked within one year of purchase. Any remaining sessions not used within that time will expire.
What are your qualifications?
Partnering with people in the process of change is a sacred stewardship. Thus, my ongoing education and preparation will never be done. You can see a condensed list of my current qualifications here. But rest assured, the learning never ends.
