Flourishing with ADHD Seminar
I knew typical systems did not work for me.
I always tweaked them.
And I still had trouble accomplishing my goals.
After I received my ADHD diagnosis, it all made sense!
My brain works differently.
Of course, I needed to view life differently.
But what does an ADHD brain need to flourish and thrive?
That's the tricky part. It's different for every person with ADHD!
There are common themes and useful tips, but what works for one person doesn't always work for another. Heck, what works for me one day doesn't always work next week.
Even though there isn't a one-size-fits-all, simple solution, you don't need to despair!
As you learn about ADHD, you'll learn why you think, feel, and act the way you do. Then, you can create a customized action plan designed to work with your brain, not against it.
What resources will we be using?
We will be studying the book Your Brain's Not Broken by Tamara Rosier, PhD. You should purchase or borrow this book from your library.
You may also find How to ADHD by Jessica McCabe a helpful resource. This book is not required, but I highly recommend it.

What can I expect?
We'll meet as a group for 75 minutes once a week for six weeks. Each week (except Week 1), we'll discuss a portion of the book and how it might apply to your life. You'll leave with a few tiny experiments you can try over the next week.
(Afraid you'll get behind in the reading? I chose this book because the chapters are not very long, and the reading is not excessive. But don't worry if you get behind! It happens to everyone. Still come to the group session. You'll learn from others and have new awareness and insight into how your brain works.)
At the end of the six weeks, you'll have a customized plan of action to help you make forward progress in one area of your life.
In addition to the group sessions, you also get one 30-minute 1:1 coaching session. Most people use this 2-6 weeks after the group coaching to talk about what's working with their plan and what they need to tweak.
