A Tailored Graduated Program with Personal Attention

Training at Levels 3 is designed for Intermediate with advancing study featuring the American Ballet Theater National Curriculum that incorporates elements of French school, Cecchetti Italian School and Russian Vaganova training method. Supplementary aspects of the program include, Pointe Training,  MPT (Placement Technique) and Dance Essentials™ which broadens student stage presence and artistry.

As desired, students may be provided with special mentoring and career guidance for college dance and audition preparation.   These “dance labs” are attended in small groups or pairs providing you with the most exclusive, tailored and semi private ballet education.   It is recommended to attend 1 private coaching session per month or a series of private instruction over summer for full resolution of technical difficulties, posture or painful issues and maintaining clean technique with unparalleled progress.

The placement of students into these levels requires an in-person, private  assessment. Graduation from one level into higher levels of training requires an in-personal and written exam appropriate for the level and student’s age and ability.

Testimonials

We had so much fun and the professionalism of the classes was amazing. We learned the very basics of how to work with our body, to be able to express our emotions and make a strong statement through movement. Aerin’s passion for dance is contagious! Her precise and dedicated way of teaching gave us certainty and confidence. We developed an array of dance skills in such a short time and still to this day work from those very principles we learned. We have Aerin Holt to thank in helping us make the best decision of our lives – to become the happy, successful performers that we are today! For the past 8 years we've worked for renowned companies as choreographers, dancers, aerialists and actors all over the world. Thank You, Aerin !!

- Miller Twins

I really liked how small the class was because it meant we got attention from our teachers. While being extremely challenging, this experience has made me more aware of how to move more clearly, understand my body and how do all of this movement in a safe and correct way. I have gained a lot of professional training and learned how to be proactive, which will benefit my future , even outside of dance.

I was able to get stronger and improved a lot! Also, it was fun!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why require an assessment?
We take great care to ensure the placement of each student into the correct level so that each class moves along at similar pace for all participants. Since each student will be appropriately matched with other students, we provide the greatest potential for progress as well as injury prevention. The assessment covers maturity, rate of cognitive skills, past training, past knowledge gained, goals, technical skills and more. Pre ballet thru Primary B (3-8 years) assessment takes place within a class. Levels 1-5+ requires a more in-depth assessment, taking place as a 1:1 private lesson. An assessment is also required for Level 1+ graduations and to be placed en Pointe. We ask that all students new to our school please book the assessment package listed by age. Once student has been assessed and level has been determined you can book into that level package.
Do you require a dress code?
Yes, proper attire is important for good training and allows the instructor to clearly see and make any necessary physical correction and adjustments to student. Each level wears a specific dress code, brand and color uniform. When a student graduates to a new level of training they are rewarded with a new colored uniform. Once your class package is booked you will have access to the Dress Code and other information that is needed.

What are the performance opportunities at this level?
Yes. Our Company has been producing shows for over 35 years. In the past, we have produced huge ballet productions in big theaters, complete with original musical scores, designed sets, lights and backdrops. Our ballets have features students, adults and professional dancers. Due to increased costs and other factors, we have curbed our big productions in favor of performing in-house concerts and demonstrations. Additionally, we feel that increased attention on training verses performing is more important during young and formative years. We prepare students for professional careers, if students choose to become professional or not. By doing so, we are preparing students for any career in life that requires dedication, perseverance and hard work. Additionally, children learn a great deal by participating in well produced concerts. Our decision regarding the best time to present our students is based on their development and readiness.

Special performance consideration is given to students at our Youth Ballet levels within this package. Youth Ballet students are the first to gain opportunities for performing with our Professional Level Company who often perform at regional dance festivals, special events with orchestras, video work, concerts and more.
