This is a class for women to whole-heartedly talk about & explore our ANGER.

WITHOUT having to choose your words carefully for fear of being too much, difficult, or starting a fight.

WITHOUT anyone yeah-butting you or manipulating you to be who they want you to be — compliant.

But WITH structure, feminist education, writing practices to explore your anger, & the empowerment that comes from sharing & listening to women own their anger & stand in their truth!

We’re going to break the story that says your role is to endure the injustices & accept being swallowed whole by their weight.

We’re going to learn how to tend to the river of our anger & take empowering action.

We’re going to reclaim the gifts of our RIGHTEOUS RAGE.

STRUCTURE

Each class will explore a dimension of the miseducation we received about anger, reframe it through an empowering feminist lens, & encourage you to explore how you want to do things differently moving forward.

Classes will mix teaching, potent feminist discussion, writing time to explore your inner world related to our topics, & a period to share (if you want!) what you feel called to express & be witnessed in your truth &/or witness others in theirs. There will also be time for Q&A & the ability to get my feedback & the group's, if you want it.

Between classes you're invited (but not required) to participate in a 6-week challenge of doing a daily anger-rinsing writing practice — through you're welcome to experiment with other modalities if something else works better for you (drawing, painting, movement practice etc). The idea is to establish a daily practice of tending to your anger so you can 1) Develop a more connected & trusting relationship with your anger, 2) Break the habits of avoidance, enduring, & survival you inherited, 3) Begin to transmute the giant amount of energy that's held in your anger backlog into the vibrancy of anger's gifts: vitality, power, truth-telling, clarity, healthy self-protection, justice, & right action.

THIS CLASS *IS* FOR YOU IF:

• You’re a feminist woman who's furious about the injustices & you want to learn how to work with your anger in a more direct way that gives you energy, rather than feeling heavy all the time.
• Between being raised by women you didn’t have a healthy relationships with anger & society always telling girls to not be angry — you weren’t taught useful skills about how to explore, rinse, express, or take action to honor your anger & you want to change this.
• Cultivating a regular anger-rinsing practice feels like just what you need.
• Doing this work with a group of like-minded feminist women feels especially exciting & nourishing.

THIS CLASS *IS NOT* FOR YOU IF:

• Exploring your anger & the injustices that fuel your anger (&/or witnessing other women do the same) will not benefit you.
• You're in shock from fresh capital-T trauma & getting more in touch with your anger will destabilize you. (Sometimes we need to soothe our system, don't push if you're at your edge! Your anger will wait for you, promise.)
• You're looking for a traditional lecture class or you primarily want 1-1 support. (If so, you can book a discovery call with me HERE).

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you offering a class about anger right now?
When the Cornell 7 story broke two weeks ago, I got so angry I practically levitated. Nearly every woman I spoke to felt the same: FURIOUS.

Then a familiar cycle happened where, as time passed, the anger dissipated. But it didn’t go away — it just got stuffed down, adding another layer to the psychic weight of anger we all carry around.

During this time I heard many women say “I’m fuming angry but I don’t know what to do with my anger.”

And really, how many times have we all said that?

That’s why I created this class. I want to create a space where women can feel the catharsis of unapologetically owning their anger mixed with a class structure that gives women tools to transmute their fury into anger’s gifts of vitality, clarity, power, action.

We already live in a world filled with women who are angry (though honestly I think we could be angrier).

I want to take it to the next level & fill the world with women who know how to channel their anger in ways that serve them.

That’s what this class is all about.
The first class is on No Kings!?
I know & I apologize about this! I plan to attend No Kings after our class & I hope you're able to attend before or after, depending on what time zone you're in. We have to start on the 17th tho because (brace yourself) it's the last period for a 6-week class before the holidays start.
What's the main goal of this class?
The main goals of this class are:

1. Heal the miseducation girls/women received about anger.

2. Develop skills to “tend to the river” of your anger — aka. rinse, explore, express, & distill your anger into a clear knowing of your needs.

3. Feel more confident to embody & express your anger without apology.

4. Gain insight about what action(s) you need to take to honor your anger.

5. Transmute overwhelm, helplessness, or heaviness about how much anger you’re holding inside of you into increased vitality, agency, & choice.
Is this going to be a big vent session?
No, but we will definitely do some venting. It's cathartic for feminists to have spaces to express our fury & feel met by like-minded women.
Will we be "releasing" anger?
The version of release this class offers is by giving you a structured space to own your anger, delve into what your anger is saying to you, get more landed in your truth, express your anger, gain clarity about what actions (if any) you want to take to honor your anger, & to do all of this with a group of feminist women. There will definitely be lots of healing, release, & validation. It just won't be super physical.

But by all means, go to a rage room & smash tvs, yell loudly in your car or into a pillow, chop wood, go to a driving range, head bang on a dance floor, or buy a Nerf bat & hit your sofa!
