- The structure of all coaching sessions are as follows:
- You will email me your resume in advance of our coaching session, so that I can assess and prepare for our meeting
- Resume templates are readily available online
- Your resume should follow a structure, like this example below:
- Employers use ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) to screen resumes, so it's important to consider the skills and attributes that are important to reflect
- During our coaching call, I will guide your thinking through powerful questions to help you define what your goals are for your next step, after you leave school.
- This step helps you clarify "the work you want your resume to do for you, on your behalf."
- I will then suggest edits to your resume, in keeping with your goals, during your coaching session
- You may choose to edit your document during the coaching session, or afterwards
- We will briefly discuss LinkedIn
- What it is, why it is valuable to create a LinkedIn Profile
- How you might use your resume to prepare your LinkedIn Profile and expand your professional networks and reach
- You will email me your resume in advance of our coaching session, so that I can assess and prepare for our meeting
- Action plan
- We will co-create your "next steps" action plan, based on the outcomes of your coaching session
- You will email me a copy of your final edited resume for additional comments, at no additional charge
- Accountability & commitment
- My role as your coach is providing support and structure to your thinking about optimal ways to prepare a resume, in keeping with your goals
- You commit to implementing next steps, owning the creation of your resume
- You may choose to purchase an additional coaching session if you would like support with creating a LinkedIn Profile
